Decoding NPAT: National Test For Programs

NPAT is a National Test For Programs After Twelfth. It is a university level entrance exam. Every year NarseeMonjee Institute of Management Studies conducts this exam for admission in several Under Graduate and integrated Post Graduate courses in several disciplines that include Architecture, Technology, Management, Pharmacy, Science, Economics, and Commerce. This article provides all the important information regarding the NPAT exam to prepare for the exam.


Exam details:

  • The application and exam mode is Online. The NPAT exam application fee will be paid online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking. This fee will be non-refundable.
  • NPAT admit card for NPAT 2021 will be released online in the 1st week of May 2021 by NMIMS. Students can download their admit card.
  • The projected date of the exam is in the 2nd week of May 2021.


Eligibility criteria: 

  • Candidates should have passed the 10+2 exam that includes the International Baccalaureate Diploma.
  • A candidate should score 60% at 10+2.
  • Candidates who appear in the 12thor are eligible to apply for the exam in the final year.
  • Candidates with Statistics and Mathematics in 10+2 can apply for the exam.
  • Candidates who are more than 25 years of age aren’t eligible for NPAT. Those who have passed the 10+2 exam via a part-time course, correspondence, distance learning, or externally are not eligible for the exam.


NPAT Exam Structure

  • All questions in this exam will be Multiple Choice Questions.
  • The total number of questions will be 120
  • The total duration of the course will be 100 Minutes.
  • For every right answer, one mark will be awarded. There is no negative marking in the course.

Sections of the NPAT exam with a number of questions and time duration

  • Quantitative & Numerical Ability 40 questions 40 minutes
  • Reasoning & General Intelligence 40questions     35minutes
  • Proficiency in the English Language 40questions     25minutes
